Riding Across the USA this September is only the start

Last year I had planned to ride old US Route 66, but plans are sometimes delayed, for the better.


In September of 2008 I WILL be riding across the USA from Disnelyland (via San Diego, CO to Tybee Island, GA,) to Wlat Disney World to raise money and awareness for the John Wayne Cancer Foundation, "Team Hole In The Wall" and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.


I will be riding 3383 miles (and through my childhood home town of Wickenburg, AZ).


This ride is only part of my planned cancer activism in 2008. I'm also volunteering with local, regional and national cancer research and survivorship foundations. This one is just of the most adventurous and crazy plan.


This battle is more than personal to me, it has directly affected my family, my loved ones.


I could be accused of having seen "True Grit" too many times, too many Disney "sports" movies, Kevin Costner 'baseball' movies, and Disney/Pixar animated flicks, but I want to do something to truly make a positive difference.
